The 2011 Billboard Music Awards winners were announced during the show on May 22, 2011 on ABC. There are lots of categories for these awards across genres with winners such as Eminem, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Taio Cruz, Rihanna and others.
The Country Music specific categories and winners of those were: 1) Top Country Album – Speak Now by Taylor Swift; 2) Top Country Artist – Taylor Swift; 3) Top Country Song – Need You Now by Lady Antebellum. Taylor Swift also won the Billboard 200 Album Artist of the Year category.
