Thank God I’m a Country Boy by John Denver, is from his album titled Back Home Again, which was released in January, 1974.

Every so often I’ll be posting some country music flashback videos and this one fits perfectly.

The year after this album was released, John Denver won the 1975 CMA Entertainer of the Year Award and this song made it to the number one spot on the charts as well.

Sadly, on October 13, 1997 John Denver died in a plane crash while traveling in a small aircraft he was piloting.
