Madison Watkins of Fayetteville performed “Run to You” by Whitney Houston on the April 18 episode of American Idol. While she did not advance to the next round after her performance, Watkins told 40/29 News her main goal was to become a role model for the next generation of Arkansans.”I never had somebody to look up to that wanted to do what I’m doing right now that lived in Arkansas,” said Watkins. “So if I can be that for a little boy or a little girl, just to show them that like no matter what dream you had, you just got to work hard and you can achieve it!”
